About Us
Boring Money was launched in 2015 by our Founder, Holly Mackay, to help ‘normal people’ make better choices with their savings, investments and pensions. We also have an insights arm, helping investment and pension providers to better understand consumer wants and needs.
Our site helps 100s of thousands of UK consumers make better choices with their savings and investments every year. Using our Best Buy tables to find ISAs and pensions, or tools and quizzes to help them find the right product or financial advice service for them. We continually work with investment brands on campaigns that encourage the UK to get into investing.
Our readers are central to everything we do, providing ratings, reviews and feedback which enable TripAdvisor-type insights to readers who want customer insights. A small proportion of readers join our proprietary research panel and so feed our insights business with direct feedback and data.
We have an ambitious strategy to execute, as we reinforce our position to become the most trusted independent brand which helps consumers to make better financial choices. And the leading source of investor intel and insights for the investment industry. We help the consumer to make better choices. And the industry to make better products and services.

About The Role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented, organised, and content‑driven Junior Content Marketing Executive. You will be someone who thrives in structured editorial work — the kind of person who enjoys updating articles, formatting content, managing a CMS, and ensuring everything published is accurate, polished, and consistent.
This role suits someone who is naturally methodical, enjoys working with words and layouts, and takes pride in getting the details right. Our ideal candidate is calm, reliable, and process‑driven, but also able to switch gears quickly when urgent editorial content needs to go live — for example, during major financial events like the UK Budget, regulatory announcements, or breaking consumer finance news. If you’re the type who can stay composed under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and still deliver clean, accurate work, you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and update content within the Boring Money CMS, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Publish Holly’s weekly blog, ensuring formatting, layout, and visuals are correct.
Upload, format, and publish freelancer‑written content, ensuring it meets brand and editorial standards.
Update existing articles, pages, and guides with new information or improved clarity.
Create simple, clean Canva visuals to support articles and blogs.
Maintain the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of recurring content.
Apply basic SEO best practices (headings, metadata, internal links) to improve content performance.
Respond quickly to urgent editorial needs, including same‑day publishing for major financial events (e.g., UK Budget).
Support the wider team with content‑related tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who reflects the qualities of our ideal persona — Content‑First, detail‑driven, reliable, and adaptable:
Experience using a CMS
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Confident using Canva to create supporting visuals.
Organised, methodical, and comfortable managing multiple content pieces at once.
Able to follow structured workflows and maintain publishing consistency.
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and shifting priorities when urgent content needs to go live.
Interest in personal finance or consumer‑focused content (expertise not required).
Basic understanding of SEO principles.
Calm, collaborative, and comfortable working in a small team.
The Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience
Hybrid working – three days in our London office
Pension plan
4 Freedom Fridays every year – early finish to start the weekend sooner
Well-located office overlooking Tower Bridge
Fantastic close-knit team
25 days’ holiday per year
